Eddy was able to convince Eni’s father by stating that he will be Hajj this year and will marry Eni within a year. However, for every Hajj, every country has different quotas each year. And in Indonesia, there are many people who want to go to Mecca. If Eddie took the official route, he would have to wait 10 years, regretting his plan might fail. Eddie therefore opted to sell his workshop and immediately took the route to the Haj by trusting a shady travel agent. After arriving in Jakarta Eddie knew he had been deceived. He didn’t want his marriage to Eni to fail. He decided to stay in Jakarta and pretend to go to Mecca so he could marry Eni.
