Baby Annie (Kathy and Leslie Anderson) is H.I.V. positive and is left in the clinic by her drug addict mother, Linda (Mary-Louis Parker). To prevent her from being taken to the house where they’ve been waiting for you to die, nurse Susan Lansing (Sissy Spacek) takes care of Annie and brings her home. Two years later, you plan to adopt her. however, suddenly Annie’s mother shows up again and demands her return. And under the rules, Susan, as the adoptive mother.
